We have the opportunity to help with Spiedie Fest Parking while raising money! This is a fun event and a great fundraiser to help with our chapter scholarships. As the cars come in to the parking lot at SUNY Broome for the Spiedie Fest there are money collectors, flaggers to guide the parking and counters to help with getting guests on the busses. That’s where your help is needed. We sign up for a few hours and help with the parking and in turn we get a portion of the profits. These profits are based on how many hours we have volunteers helping, so the more hours we have people there, the more we will earn to contribute to our scholarship fund.
There are several nonprofit groups participating so the sooner you can sign up, the sooner we can secure our spots. The following is a list of available times we can volunteer

55 current local Penn State students have qualified to apply for the Greater Binghamton Chapter Endowed Scholarship. Letters were emailed to each qualified student’s Psu.edu email address on June 6th. Letters were also sent to each student’s home address. Deadline to apply is June 15th at 9am.
Four scholarships will be awarded at the annual chapter summer picnic/ student send off Saturday, July 30th 4-7pm at Hickories Park in Owego, NY. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and good luck to all students applying!

PENN STATE FOOTBALL VS. TEMPLE

Tickets must be requested by JUNE 19th.
Your Greater Binghamton Chapter is pleased to announce that it has just been given the opportunity to apply for additional football tickets to one select game this fall. Access to these tickets by the chapter is based on a special drawing held by the Parent Penn State Alumni Association. We have selected the Temple Game since it is on Sept. 17th and offers the opportunity for family and friends to enjoy an early season day at Penn State tailgating and visiting the campus. Tickets are $80 each which includes a $10 donation to our scholarship fund. As a family and friends special for those purchasing 4 or more tickets we will include one general parking pass (game day value $40) at no additional cost. As the access to these tickets is dependent on grants by the Alumni Association we need to have all ticket requests submitted NO LATER THAN JUNE 19th.
A $25/ticket deposit is required with your order. In the event the Chapter is unable to obtain adequate tickets to fill all requests, we will be notified in July and those not receiving tickets will have deposits refunded.
